LCHS Sports

This evening the Lustre Lions played host to the Nashua Porcupines. In two intense games, the Lions fell short, however, they are showing great progress. The 2011 - 2012 season, starts with new faces in the coaching staff, the Lady Lions are coached by dorm dad Bruce Homontowski, and are currently assisted by his daughter and current Moody Bible Institute Basketball player Stephanie Homontowski. The boys coaches are both Lustre Alumni, and former coaches, Ron Reddig is the head coach, and Al Leland is the assistant, both are stepping into familiar shoes! The Lions packed the gym, and once again our great community shows how much they believe in their team! We would like to thank everyone who came out and supported us this evening!

All tickets will be sold at the gate! No pre-sale of tickets prior to game one of the tournament
Band will be admitted using Band passes ONLY to the sessions we are playing in. Once the team is eliminated the band passes will not work.

Coaches and Team Admission

Teams are to use the South door of the High School gymnasium. All team personnel including managers and coaches must have a pass for admission. Passes must be visual upon entrance.

Cell Phones

Wolf Point Public Schools policy restricts students from possessing cell phones in the locker rooms.

Warm-up Policy

A 20 minute warm-up will be observed prior to each game. Teams participating in the first game of each session will not be allowed on the court until the official warm-up time.

Bus Parking

Buses will park on the South side of Wolf Point High School Gymnasium in the bus loop.

The Wolves traveled down to Baker, Montana, to take on the Spartans. Playing the Spartans on their Homecoming, the Wolves work hard but came up on the short end of the game. The Wolves scored 14 to the Spartans 47 points.

Please pray for Tiffany Neufeld. Her back has been causing her pain, and after doctoring locally, it has been determined that she will need to get further assistance in Billings. She is going to see a back specialist on Monday at 10:15. After visiting with the specialist, her course of treatment will be determined. Tonight, the Lustre Lady Lions took on the Opheim Vikings, playing in the Lions Den for the only home game before Christmas Break. The Lions fought hard, but unfortantely unable to defeat the Vikings. Due to an injury in the Frazer game, Kyla Forest was unable to play.

I would like to thank Rayna DeSocio, also known as Miss D, for the majority of the pictures. I had to do book tonight, for the boys games, so Miss D took the pictures! She did a great job, and I am very blessed to know her! Also it was great to get to see Merle and Connie Mullet, who were in the area attending Ben Wedel's funeral. They stopped over in Frazer to see some of their former dorm students play basketball!!

After the Boys JV game, it was now up to the Girls Varsity. Although, the Lustre Lady Lions fought hard, it was an unfortunate loss to the Bear Cubs. The ladies did very well, and even though, they did not come out on top, the Lady Lions, once again proved their tenacity, and fought bravely until the very end.
